ABOUT

I like to see each jewel as a home to different identities, memories, and reminiscences. Everything starts by choosing the material to be studied and explored. Then, I begin a sort of free experimental ride, searching shapes and hidden spaces.

Through this process, the design emerges from my references spontaneously. I aim at pure and simple forms that emphasize the material’s intrinsic properties and bring up the user’s curiosity and willingness to interact.

For jewellery, to me, is an art on which the user extends the creative process. While using a jewel, any person does it following personal life experiences, self-image, memories, and reminiscences. That is why the pieces sometimes are used in unpredictable ways, even to the artist. This ludic interaction enriches each work and merges our subjectivities.
